How to Write an AI Image Prompt

blog image

Plain sentences work. No special syntax is needed. Include the details that change how the image looks:

  • Subject: What is in the image
  • Setting: Where it is
  • Lighting and mood: For example, soft morning light or dramatic shadows
  • Style or medium: Product photography, flat illustration, watercolor, 3D
  • Framing: Close-up, top-down, wide shot, or empty space for text

Example: "A ceramic coffee mug on a wooden table by a rainy window, soft morning light, product photography, close-up with space on the left for text."

Put the most important detail first. Long prompts with many adjectives tend to dilute the result.

Choosing an AI Image Model

Aymo includes multiple image models, such as GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2, Seedream 4.5, and FLUX.2. Each model handles photorealism, illustration, and text inside images differently.

To find the right model for a task, send the same prompt to more than one model and compare the results. The full list is in the Model Directory.

Setting Style, Aspect Ratio, and Quality

blog image
  • Style presets: Choose Realistic, 3D, Anime, Pixel, and others, or describe your own style in the prompt. Aymo adjusts the prompt behind the scenes to keep the look consistent.
  • Aspect ratio: 1:1 for social posts, 16:9 for thumbnails and banners, 9:16 for stories, 4:3 or 3:4 for blog images and print.
  • Quality: Use a lower setting while exploring ideas and a higher one for the final image.

Reviewing Generated Images

Results usually appear within a few seconds. Before changing anything, check:

  • Is the subject correct?
  • Is the composition close to what you wanted?
  • Is only one detail wrong?

If the subject or composition is wrong, revise the prompt. If only one detail is wrong, use the editing tools instead of generating again.

Downloading and Saving Images

Download any result to save it. Images generated in Aymo can be used for personal and commercial projects.

To create a consistent set of images, reuse the same model, style, aspect ratio, and prompt structure.

Editing AI-Generated Images

Editing tools change part of an image without regenerating the whole thing.

Remove an Image Background

Remove Background cuts out the subject with clean edges. Useful for product photos, stickers, and layouts.

Upscale an Image

Upscale increases resolution while keeping details sharp. Generate at a standard size while iterating, then upscale the final image for print or large displays.

Expand an Image Beyond Its Frame

Expanding an image beyond its frame in Aymo

Expand extends the image beyond its original frame and fills in the new area to match the scene. Use it to turn a square image into a wide banner.

Adjust Image Lighting

Adjust Lighting brightens, dims, or changes the mood of an image without generating a new one.

Troubleshooting Image Generation

  • Part of the prompt is ignored: Move the key detail to the start and remove extra adjectives.
  • Text in the image is garbled: Try a different model, or add the text afterward in a design tool.
  • Results look generic: Add specifics such as material, time of day, camera angle, or color palette.
  • Faces or hands look wrong: Try another model, or crop and expand around the problem area.

Image Generation Plans and Usage

Image models are billed per image. Available models, resolution, and variants depend on your plan. See Billing and Plans for details.
